Dan Gilbert began designing posters in the late 1970s. As a partner in Miller/Gilbert Publishing he produced over a hundred commemorative posters for institutions such as Public Broadcasting, The Nation Aquarium in Baltimore, National Wildlife Federation and many others. Gilbert is an award-winning printmaker with a mastery of offset lithography who is known for his colorful and whimsical style. Lately Dan has developed a penchant for reviving the Fruit Crate Label motif of the early 20th Century.
