Dan Gilbert Art Group was founded in 1979. Originally a poster publishing company, Miller/Gilbert Publishing designed and marketed commemoratives for many of the nation's formost wildlife institutions, festivals and businesses.
The studio evolved into a multi-disciplinary business working with global customers in consumer product design, branding, packaging, identity, collateral, illustration, application interface and web design.
In 1991 Gilbert and the DaMert Company published the first Triazzle brain-teaser puzzles which sold over 5 million copies of nearly 100 different designs worldwide. Since then the Art Group has designed and licensed hundreds of consumer products in the areas of toys and games, apparel, stationery, textiles, home decor, gifts and accessories.
